More than just a dental hygiene visit
Thoroughly looking after your teeth and gums, cleaning those hard-to-reach places, helping your teeth and mouth feel fresh and keeping your smile beautiful, is what makes our hygienists great.
What makes them exceptional… checking for oral health problems including gum disease and oral cancers, with a full scale and polish as standard.
Expect that ‘clean’ feel and sparkling smile, with every visit.
And…for those with more stubborn stains, we provide an intense cleaning service to bring out your beautiful smile, for any occasion.

Meet our team

Simon, our dental implant surgeon, has a referral practice within The Dental Surgery focused on replacing missing teeth in a safe, predictable and aesthetic way. Through The Implant Surgery, Simon works closely with referring dentists and specialists in both placing dental implants and restoring them, often as a part of comprehensive dental rehabilitations or cosmetic reconstructions. Having qualified in 1987 he placed his first implant in 1989.
After working in training roles in five different London Teaching Hospitals in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he went on to hold a teaching position at Guys Hospital Dental School for a further ten years. As one of the first dentists in the UK to study an implant year course, he is now a Fellow of The International Team for Implantology and recognised as both a speaker and mentor in implantology. Simon’s commitment to teaching and education further extends to personal one-on-one lecturing and webinar learning.
As part of the team approach to implant dentistry, Simon utilises the latest three-dimensional technology and imaging to achieve the most accurate and predictable treatment results. In 2005 Simon launched U Dentistry, an implant referral practice in Illkey, Yorkshire. He has also been actively involved in the development of two different implant systems widely used by other dentists.
Outside of dentistry Simon is a committed and determined cyclist, having completed several Grand Tour stages as well as Land’s End to John o’ Groats in aid of charitable organisations such as Saving Faces.

Shaun graduated from Otago (New Zealand) in 1983 and joined the practice in 1989. He has extensive experience and post-graduate education in most areas of Dentistry. His special areas of interest are complicated restorative cases, management of stress related Dental problems (tooth-wear, headaches) and difficult cosmetic dentistry cases.
He is a member of The British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, The British Society of Occlusal Studies, The American Equilibration Society, The British Society of Periodontology, The Association of Dental Implantologists, The British Dental Association, The Chicago Dental Society, and The London Dental Study Club.
“Shaun, Simon and their teams of dental nurses and hygienists have given me the most amazing set of teeth. Their outstanding skill and personal care is complimented by equally fantastic professionalism and customer service from the rest of their practice.
Just after I left the surgery, and for the first time in my life, a lady stranger stopped me on the tube to compliment me on my smile. What more can I say. These guys are the best.”
