    GDC Nr. 62959

    • BDS (London) 1987

Simon, our dental implant surgeon, has a referral practice within The Dental Surgery focused on replacing missing teeth in a safe, predictable and aesthetic way. Through The Implant Surgery, Simon works closely with referring dentists and specialists in both placing dental implants and restoring them, often as a part of comprehensive dental rehabilitations or cosmetic reconstructions. Having qualified in 1987 he placed his first implant in 1989.

After working in training roles in five different London Teaching Hospitals in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he went on to hold a teaching position at Guys Hospital Dental School for a further ten years. As one of the first dentists in the UK to study an implant year course, he is now a Fellow of The International Team for Implantology and recognised as both a speaker and mentor in implantology. Simon’s commitment to teaching and education further extends to personal one-on-one lecturing and webinar learning.

As part of the team approach to implant dentistry, Simon utilises the latest three-dimensional technology and imaging to achieve the most accurate and predictable treatment results. In 2005 Simon launched U Dentistry, an implant referral practice in Illkey, Yorkshire. He has also been actively involved in the development of two different implant systems widely used by other dentists.

Outside of dentistry Simon is a committed and determined cyclist, having completed several Grand Tour stages as well as Land’s End to John o’ Groats in aid of charitable organisations such as Saving Faces.
