Veneers
A veneer is a very fine facing of porcelain made by the dental technician in the laboratory which is bonded onto your natural tooth. The primary function is to improve the appearance and they can involve very little preparation of your own natural tooth.
Veneers can be used in cases where the teeth are chipped, discoloured or crowded. They can produce excellent aesthetic results. They are most frequently used on your upper or lower front teeth. In the more complicated aesthetic cases, treatment planning is the key. We construct a wax “mock up” of the case on study models, so that you can see the shape of your “new teeth” prior to undergoing treatment. We are then able to assess the appearance of the teeth before the final restorations are constructed and cemented.
